Customer Reviews

man...

I was a huge fan of this band but this album... ughhh. Besides the fact that I'm not feeling the new screamer at all, the instrumentality of this album seems weaker from Erra's previous releases. All their tracks from their old releases especially the last EP had those powerful djenty chugs mixed in with unique leads that it would always make me headbang to them unconciously. But listening to this entire album, I haven't headbanged once cause everything sounds so plain & dull.

Awesome so far!

Screamer had big shoes to fill and while he could never replace the last guy he certainly helps the band retain its greatness. Album sounds pretty good. Less “singing” would be welcomed if I had one suggestion.

Slight Let Down

I’ve been listening to Erra since the beginning. I love them, and I like the new vocalist they received, however some of the other line up changes have left them making this album a little more generic and boring. They have potential, but they seem to be losing the beautiful sounds that made Erra sweet but powerful. Lacking tasteful melodies and keys/pads on this album, which is what I turn to Erra for. The warmth and crispness of lighthearted chords/piano interjected into metal. I don’t mean to seem so pessimistic, this album is still a good jam, much talent from these dudes! Just was expecting different based on their past works. Its more of a shift than honing in on the sound I had previously fell in love with. Which can be good though.
