WTH happened?

I loved their last album, thought the song writing and melodies were both catchy and just a bit off the beaten path to keep them interesting. Heard the single Drown and preordered the album thinking this would be a similar effort. But come to find out, either the band or the producer decided the new record needed more dance tracks (Daddy's little girl… Really? Did anyone listen to this before agreeing to put it on the record? WTH?). A couple songs that could have been good get the over zealous production treatment where all the instruments sound like they were played on a Casio keyboard and recorded with a boom box in the room. Just flat.

While they were never lyrical geniuses on the last record, the lyrics were not a distration. The recurring theme of broken hearts, lost love, etc. gets repetitive on this one.

Unfortunate, I was really looking forward to this new album.

Loved their first album and have anxiously awaited this one. I'm not one that expects a bands sound to remain the same album after album. People change and you can expect those changes to be reflected in the music they create. But I feel like they've made a step backwards with this album, only about half of it sounds like their work, the other half sounds like something Justin Bieber's producers would've put together. I hope that the next album goes back to their unique sound and showcases their talents better.

Most underrated band ever!!

Seriously every song is a hit I don't know why these guys are huge yet. Good job guys.

A singer, songwriter, and guitarist, Wolf fell under the spell of new wave through his older sister's record collection. He located to Los Angeles at the age of 22, earning a living doing whatever odd jobs he could (which included being an extra in a Celine Dion video) and eventually landing an internship with songwriter Diane Warren, who...
