The Blues at Its Best!

Doug tells the best stories - in the songs and between the songs! You'll have a blast if you see him in person - he makes the blues come alive and makes the "blues" seem "happy". Give a listen to "She's Boogy'n - you'll love it too!

This is a man who has made the blues as basic as a shoe stomp on the stage and as vivid as a first person poet perspective can take you. Listen to the albums but go see for yourself if he comes to your area. If you weren't a fan before or thought you were one you EVERYTHING will be clear after hearing him spin a yarn or two between his songs. The blind will see and the sighted will see even more. It's a rich tapestry of a life dedicated to sounding "exactly like this".

Excellent. Again.

He plays among the best in the blues 'vein." The quality of the lyrics stand out as well.
No pretentions. If you understand blues, all you have to do is listen.
