Dusty Rules

Dusty’s London recordings are beyond superb. Yesterday When I Was Young will bring you to your knees, and you will never find a better version of What Are You Doing For The Rest Of Your Life – not even Sarah Vaughn’s. There is not a song on this album that is not a gem. So-called music critics should get over their haughty pretenses about Dusty’s Atlantic recordings. If not, it’s their loss. No one can top Dusty’s artistry. Yes, the Atlantic sessions are brilliant, as are her London recordings, which are some of the best ever sung in the history of recorded music, period.

Never thought I'd buy a song from a commercial

I bought this song after hearing it on a jewelry commercial. What a beautiful melody!

I find it very funny when critics compare Dusty to herself. To say that this album is lacking the soul of her Atlantic counterpart is clearly defeatist. Girls It Ain't Easy easily surpasses the Honey Cone's version and Sweet Inspiration is purest soul. But Dusty didn't limit herself to soul music. Why would the purest and most versatile voice in music do that? Listen for yourself, come under her spell and join the cult of the Lady of Soul, you will never be disappointed. Love You Dust, Rest In Peace
