Positive Ascension! Anything but a Lateral Move

Seriously, who wants five more albums sylistically the same as Germination and Nomad? I, for one, can't wait to see how they mix these tracks in live! All the tracks have an infectious, fun quality to them. Serious party tunes; like a sonic orgy between The Disco Biscuits, The Rapture, New Young Pony Club, and Gang of Four, among others. Try it on!

Back on Track

Lotus members are incredibly talented musicians able to improvise amazing funky jams. As song writers their songs are very hit or miss for me. While I like some of their earlier songs better, as an album this is their tightest. I just hope their live performance isn't totally different because of this album.

Please go back to the sound of germination and nomad. I hope i don't have to hear this too much when they play Red Rocks this year

Combining elements of jam bands and electronic dance rock, Lotus was formed by brothers Jesse Miller (bass/sampler) and Luke Miller (guitar/keyboards), Steve Clemens (drums), Chuck Morris (percussion), and Mike Rempel (guitar) while they were attending Goshen College in Indiana in 1999. They recorded their debut album, Vibes, in concert in the fall of 2001 and self-released it in 2002. A second live album, Germination, was released on Harmonized Records on May 13, 2003.
