For anyone who loves true piano

Ann Sweeten is brilliant. Nothing better than this in front of a fire with a warm cup of Cocoa, an early sunrise overlooking the water or even just a cup of Jo' with the morning paper. As eloquent as Vivaldi and as beautiful as a dove's ascension.

Far from Formulaic

You think this'll be the standard "meditative piano" - then she holds for half a beat, pedals down the accent chord- and then you know you've found artistry. Genius dressed as genre. Buy this player's stuff! All of it that you can find...

Ann sweetened!!!

There's something to be said about an artist's kraftwork of syncopated rhythms, melodic tonality, harmonies and the Steinway piano. Thank you for enriching our lives with your brilliance !!!

Ann Sweeten displayed an early interest in the keyboard, and her mother gave her a Hammond organ when she was six. Three years later, she received a Baldwin piano for Christmas. She studied privately with David Sokolof, then attended Smith College, from which she graduated cum laude with a degree in foreign languages. Next, she took vocal lessons and founded a rock band called Fall Out. After two years, she returned to academia, attending the Boston Conservatory where she studied music, acting, singing,...
