The "Lost" Jackie Wilson Album

Eddie Holland is one third of the Holland-Drozier-Holland songwriting/producing team that led groups like the Four Tops and Supremes to some of their greatest performances. As a singer, Eddie Holland bears a strong resemblance to the late Jackie Wilson, and many people believe that Holland's recorded output for Motown (this album plus about 15 other known tracks) represent the album(s) that Wilson should have recorded for Motown. While Wilson used Motown musicians on some of his tracks, the tunes always had an over-produced slick sound that didn't bring out the grit in Wilson's delivery. Holland, on the other hand, sings these songs with emotion and style that don't cater to any slick pop sensibility. It's a great record, and you should seek out the other Eddie Holland tracks available (many on the Motown Singles box sets) to gather a true Eddie Holland retrospective.
