Welcome to the best summer cd!

This cd will be the perfect soundtrack to summer 2012! I love his voice.

A Wonderful Kickoff to the Summer!

Overall a slightly more upbeat album than many of his recent works. A nice change of pace. Most of these songs only take one listen to feel like you are sitting down to talk with an old friend.

Come Over – Passionate song about hooking up with an old lover. The repeated Come Over phrase in the chorus is hypnotic and draws you in just like falling back into the same lover over and over again.
Feel Like a Rock Star – Kenny and Tim McGraw bring the house down at their concerts with this stadium style rocker.
Sing ‘Em Good My Friend - A sad and hopeful song about death and passing things on when you pass on. Sweetly touching and melancholy rolled into one.
Welcome to the Fishbowl - Looks like we’re all in everybody’s social network fishbowl. Throw in a sweet guitar solo and it’s not too bad to be in that fishbowl.
I’m a Small Town – A small town tells its’ own story about its memories. Homeruns, bike rides, soldier’s coming home and life and birth.
El Cerrito Place – Kenny and Grace Potter duet again, fantastic harmonies and a great country harmony mixed with 80’s rock ballad guitar licks.
Makes Me Wonder – Fun and upbeat song about friends who should be in love but don’t know it. Reminiscent of when Harry Met Sally.
While He Still Knows Who I Am – Alzheimer’s can devastate families, but the song is larger than that, like a metaphor for saying the things we should before time runs out for any reason.
Time Flies – A great island drinking song that feels like flying, reminds me the slightest bit of some stuff from Paul Simon’s Graceland – high praise!
To Get To You – A sweet and straightforward love song. You dance the heart right out of me.
Always Gonna Be You – Wonderful lyrics about finding redemption and the one you love. Reminds me strangely of Daisy Jane by America (again, high praise). Where does a man go for redemption?
You and Tequilla (Live) – I’ll add this to my playlist of live music. The crowd ambience really captures the audience at one of his concerts.

All in all a solid effort equal to the best of his previous work! Well done Kenny! He really should play the Superbowl halftime show!

Too depressing

Brings back feelings and memories we all try and forget, definitely don't wanna hear this album out on the road

Genre: Country

Years Active: '90s, '00s, '10s

Contemporary country star Kenny Chesney didn't have the immediate breakout success that many of his peers enjoyed upon signing with major labels, but gradually built up a significant following via hard work, pop-friendly ballads, and a likable, "Average Joe" persona. Chesney was born in Knoxville, Tennessee in 1968 and raised in the nearby small town of Luttrell, best known as the home of Chet Atkins. He grew up listening to both country and rock & roll, but didn't get serious about music until...
