No collection is complete without this

James Wilsey knows just how to set the mood. His reverbb soaked guitar melodies are both mesmerizing and hypnotic. He is most recognized for the opening riff on Chris Isaak's "Wicked Games" but that is just the tip of the iceburg for this ultra cool hombre. Let "El Dorado" be the soundtrack to your life and see just how much cooler you'll become. - BillyG

Refreshing Guitar Album

This is one of the best albums I have heard in a long time. It's an album that anyone can appreciate. Guitar players, however, should definitely add this to their collection. It's refreshing to see a guitar album that stands alone on guitar tone and note choice. There is a lot of mess out there that rely on technique to cover up lack of tone and lack of proper phrasing. Non-players can appreciate this album purely for it's sonic beauty. Put this in and go for a ride.

Moody with a capital M

One could apply these tunes to just about anything moody or laid back. Driving alone on a desert road? James' got a song for that (Untamed). Cruising the lone streets of the city? Try "The Rattler" in your 50's Caddie. Trying to escape your seedy past by heading down to Mexico? Well, there's "Discos Nuevos" to cover that moment of your life. "Insomnia" is for watching the sunset in a hammock. Play "San Bernardino" if you have some unfinished business to take care of on the wrong side of the tracks. Don't even play "City of Broken Dolls" on your iPod if you have to investigate a disurbance in an old, vacant mansion at 1am. Great stuff. I've been waiting a long time to hear something from this guy. Welcome back.
