this is one of the best, if not the best disk, produced in Puerto Rico with local talent. this is a master piece... beautiful and transcendent....

Simply put: hallucinatory

This album is a complete masterpiece from start to finish. Once the eerie woos of "En la carretera" reach your ears, you will not want to put down this magical aural journey. Everything that makes mima a brilliant artist, composer, writer, and musician is gracefully displayed throughout the 11-song opus. Those familiar with mima's music from her self-titled album are in for a refreshing surprise. DJ Nature's golden touch is all over this record, providing the already wonderful genre-defying sounds of mima's music with additional rhythmic layering and texture. This album seems to be the artist's own exploration through all her musical influences. From Puerto Rican folklore to jazz, funk, and even punk, her superb voice is given the chance to freely roam. Do yourself a favor and buy ALL OF THIS ALBUM. Mima will take you on a sonic ride that will prove to be nothing short of addicting. Every time I play a song with the intention of listening to just one track, I end up submerged in the complete album. Absolutely one of the best albums of 2011. She deserves so much more recognition than she already has. Additionally, she is a BREATHTAKING performer. Her live shows are always a privilege to attend.

Leaves big names in the dust

Amazingly textured and creative. No "phoned in" stereotypical phrasing here. Heard this album reviewed with other interesting latin alt funk on NPR's 11/13/11 "Alt Latino"
Give it a listen and clean out your ears with some fresh sounds respectful to funk roots. Great stuff!
