Elvis Sings the Wonderful World of Christmas Elvis Presley
EDITORS’ NOTES
Although Elvis first became notorious for his scandalous sexuality and swinging hips, his lifelong love of songs of faith brings an intriguing counterpoint to his legacy. On his final Christmas album, The King's tremolo-rich baritone breathes soulful reverence into "O' Come, All Ye Faithful," lends a shaggy ’70s grooviness to "Winter Wonderland," and brings smoldering sex appeal to a downright sultry "Merry Christmas Baby." It's hard to choose, but this may be our favorite of his holiday releases.
