Album Review

Wish You Were Here isn't quite as consistently engaging as Mark Wills' eponymous debut, yet the very best moments, such as the ballad "I Do (Cherish You)," offer proof that he's a fine, nuanced singer capable of great things. He achieves great things only occasionally here, but that's often enough to make it a successful second album from this young vocalist.

Don't Laugh At Me

This album may not me considered his best but, the song Don't Laugh at Me is so powerful. It makes you think about someone else for a change and not all about yourself. Mark Wills makes us think about our society and how we are constantly putting others around us down and hurting their feelings. We should take this as a wake up call and try a little more to show compassion and love to others. Embrace our differences and see that being different is beautiful. God made us unique and special. So be a friend. Share the love. This is a great song and everyone should buy it.

Don't Laugh at Time

I Love this song, because as I was a youngin I got teased all day every day. This song is the song that I wished Mark Wills would write and sing. It finally happened. I am so glad that it did.

Although he didn't quite achieve the fame or sales of new country contemporaries as Tim McGraw or Clay Walker, Mark Wills earned a respectable following and strong reviews following the release of his eponymous 1996 debut album. As a teenager in the small town of Blue Ridge, GA, Wills was fond of pop-metal bands like Poison and Bon Jovi, and throughout his teens he played in metal garage bands. But as he became an adult, his tastes shifted toward country-pop and new traditionalist country. Considering...
