Anytime Emmylou starts to sing, the hairs on the back of my neck and on my arms stand up. Her voice tugs at my heart like no other! Sometimes I am so moved by her voice that tears stream down my cheek and I feel like a fool. I AM a fool....a fool for Emmylou. This is a STUNNING Collection of her greatest hits and some that have never been released before. Do yourself a favor and buy this CD. It is PURE Joy! Dennis

Essence of Emmylou

I love iTunes - in the past when there were compilations with a few new songs, loyal listeners were punished - you had to buy all the duplicate songs just to get the new ones. For long time Emmlou Harris fans, definitely fill in the songs you don't have. "Drivin' Wheel" is vintage Hot Band, and "White Line" & "Wheels of Love" sound like they come from the Elite Hotel era. Both of those periods are ones I love, so these songs were no-brainers. These songs aren't filler - they are songs you want for your collection. If you are one of those people who want to see what the fuss is about - this is a great collection.

Emmylou one of the truly great singers of our time. This is a Must Album.

With the exception of only Neil Young -- not surprisingly an occasional collaborator -- no other mainstream star established a similarly...
