A timeless classic

Antichrist put Das Ich in the spotlight. With the obvious electro background, Bruno Kramm added Opera, baroque and classical elements that, when fused with Stephan Ackerman's growl, make an album that is as unstoppable as it is cruel. Antichrist deals with the social an political ills of the time, and the entire album is done in German, which adds to the urgency in a ferocious way. This cd is brutal, unforgiving, and totally addictive. It is also one of those rare cds that does not warrant a skipping of one song that you don't quite like. All of the tracks here crucial, and none disappoint. With this new 2010 version, the cd has been remastered, so it sounds even better than the original. Also added are 3 remixes, but only one of them is new. The Keimzeit remix was a bonus track on the US version, Sodom and Gomorra remix is the version from the rare 2-cd version of Relikt. Only the remix of Engel is new, but to US fans, the whole thing is a work of genius with a few remixes we may otherwise never got to hear. A true work of art here, with no drawbacks!
