Album Review

With Epoch, Tycho completes the trilogy of albums started with Dive and Awake. This time, the Scott Hansen-led collective brings a slightly darker, more energetic vibe to its music, with songs like "Division" riding a driving fuzz bass that adds an extra spark to the proceedings. Elsewhere, "Glider" and "Field" bookend the album with the hazy beauty fans have come to expect, while the title track manages to be both dreamy and propulsive, emphasizing just how far Tycho has come since the project's early days.

Customer Reviews

Incredible

So chill and relaxing yet upbeat and happy.

Extraordinary!

You never let me down!

Where to begin...

I'm not a huge fan of EDM, I don't even know if Tycho is EDM or trance or any of that.
But what I feel when I listen to Epoch is mental freedom, I feel like I'm anywhere and everywhere all at once.
No Mans Sky for example an amazing game to be playing while looping this album. You just get lost.
Blah. Terrible review. Do you know what I mean though?

Tycho debuted in 2002 with The Science of Patterns, a self-released four-track EP. Sunrise Projector, his first album, was released in 2004 on the Gammaphone label. After the album was re-released...
