Kudos TBS

This album is a great collection for those who are fans of TBS as for those just hearing about TBS i have to caution you. This album is great, dont get me wrong, but I think to really appreciate their music you have to listen to their previous two albums. Louder Now really does take after the title since it is their heaviest album out of the 3. The three songs to really listen to are MakeDamnSure, My Blue Heaven, and Error: Operator which is off the Fantastic Four CD. All the songs are great and the one thing that really gets me is the amount of emotion put into writing and singing these songs. Kudos Fred and Adam and the rest of the group for putting out a great album for all the fans and new comers.

Emo. I dont understand why people look at that term as a negative. If you want to get technical, Emo (short for emotional) is a broad title that covers a lot of different styles of emotionally-charged punk rock. There are so many bands that are everyones favorite that change the direction of their music and "fans" get all angry. Blink did it. Green Day did it. Alkaline Trio did it. TBS is doing it and if you're a fan, trully devoted to any band, you will understand the transition and instead of expecting the same thing over and over, accept that the band is maturing and want to put that out in words. I think this album is GREAT! Of course its not like the others...they were 17-21 when their first album came out, so the music will reflect the adolescent era a little more than now since they're all grown and being dad's and stuff. They dont make the music for you, so if you don't like it, guess what, they probably wont care. I-heart-TBS! Hard, soft, emo, rock, sell out, whatever you wanna call it; I love it!

Good, but not as good as previous TBS albums

Taking Back Sundays new album, Louder Now has a new and cool sound. More of a hard pop rock sound in their new album. If your looking for that hard emo rock like their two prevous albums, (Tell All Your Friends) and (Where You Want To Be) i suggest u dont buy this album then. TBS previous albums brought them where they ar now cause they were so different and had their own and unique sound. In Louder Now though there are some good songs and there are some mediocre songs. I hope they dont sell out too much now. Best Songs: MakeDamnSure, My Blue Heaven, Spin

Formed in 1999 in Amityville, New York, Taking Back Sunday modeled their interpretation of melodic hardcore after bands like Lifetime, Endpoint, and Sunny Day Real Estate, as well as guitarist Ed Reyes' emo outfit the Movielife. After the release of a five-song demo and a year's worth of touring (including shows with At the Drive-In and Alkaline Trio), Taking Back Sunday signed to Victory Records and entered New Jersey's Big Blue Meanie Recording Studios alongside producer Sal Villanueva and engineer...
