Hippy Punk

Perhaps the precursor to happy core and EMO, 7 Seconds presents a happier, softer edge to Punk/Hardcore. The lyrics are non-political but socially concious. Style and speed are off center enough to keep from being mainstream. Ourselves is 7 Seconds first "real" studio album with a more mature and coherent sound. Ourselves is the definite transition from Walk together rock together and Soul Force revolution. This is still my favorite 7 Seconds album. If you like the direction they are header here, you will like soul force revolution. If you want them to get a little harder (but more Technical) skip on to Out the Shizzy.

What I think about this Album

this is an awesome band and an awesome album! Its punk/Alternative and it sounds really guud. i bought it...

a classic...

This is one of the albums we would skate to every day. 7 seconds is happy sounding on this album, but their earlier stuff is reminiscent of a not-so-edgy Minor Threat. Definitely a defining band of the 80's.
