Solid debut album

After only getting this album a few days ago, I've played it over a dozen times and each time it sounds even better than the last time. The compositions are complex and moody, and there is a linear structure to the album that beautifully flows from start to finish. This wouldn't be surprising if this wasn't the debut album of the Eureka Birds, who prove with this outing that they have something special brewing. The self-titled debut sounds like an eclectic blend of Ben Folds, Decemberists, and Death Cab for Cutie, but with a unique twist that sounds unlike most contemporary indie rock. Key tracks include "The Still Life", "Oh! My Dear", "Goodbye Space and Time", "Now They Rise", and "Applewood Figure", but there isn't a dud on here. I really look forward to what I hope will be many more great albums from these guys.

Great 1st album

This is a great 1st album for these guys it is a must buy!!!!!

Good Stuff

I got this from a friend and I am really impressed with it. For a self produced album, the production quality is good. I am a big fan of Dinosaurs and Mars.

After Levy partnered with guitarist Dave Rogoza, the two recruited a pocket-sized orchestra, complete...
