Album Review

Although its track listing is fairly similar to 1993's Love Come Down compilation (cutting a few numbers but featuring three more total), Greatest Hits gets the nod as the Evelyn "Champagne" King" collection of choice, since it features the original 7" single versions, plus several rare, extended 12" mixes. Covering King's career from 1978's breakout hit "Shame" through 1986, Greatest Hits is as comprehensive a retrospective of her work as is ever likely to be released, capturing all the reasons she was a popular and important disco and R&B singer.

This Album is fantastic

Evelyn "Champagne" King was a great in the 70's. Hits like Shame and Love Come Down and so forth ,but it's too bad she's not around anymore otherwise she would probably have another album out.

Love Come Down!

This is the best song ever! This is what REAL music was, not the crap they play on the radio these days... Love this song!!!

Wheres GIVE IT UP?

I can't believe that I Tunes omits this great gem from the original "Fright Night" Soundtrack on her greatest hits compilations! 'Give It Up' is her best song!!
