Creative cover

I’m not a huge fan of artists covering worship songs to promote themselves on the radio. I think it’s tacky and not creative at all. That being said, Aaron Shust is a rare breed. He has an interesting take on certain songs, and is wise to choose songs that aren’t complete hits. He tends to be more creative with the covers, adding different dynamics to it rather than making a shot-by-shot remake. Especially with this Bethel fan favorite “Ever Be,” which is originally sung by a female, Shust makes it male-friendly to sing. His versions are usually (in my opinion) just as enjoyable (or dare I say more enjoyable) than the original artists’ rendition of their songs. “No One Higher” is a great example, and now “Ever Be.” He is by far one of the most under-rated Christian artists out there!

It's ok but why?

It's a male version of Bethel's Ever Be. It reminds me of a YouTube cover where a popular youtuber sings a cover but has good quality microphones and good behind the scenes editing. Overall it's a great song and sung by Aaron Shust. I'm kind of sad that he's charging $1.29 for the song when he didn't write it. Since he's Aaron Shust the radio stations will play this on the radio over Bethel Music which is a shame.
