10 Songs, 32 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

Living 400 miles away from your only bandmate seems far from ideal but guitarist Rachel Aggs and drummer Eilidh Rodgers make it work in spectacular fashion on this debut album. And, despite living in London and Glasgow respectively, SACRED PAWS look even further afield for their brand of West African-influenced indie. “Nothing” packs afrobeat guitar licks, “Voice” brings a strutting, glossy groove to the party, and “Getting Old” is all harmonies and handclapping sass.
