amazing songs but...

Let me make this clear, i love every one of these songs. But has anyone else noticed that these songs aren't new? these are all older song of her's with the execption of loud music which came out more recently. However, All You Wanted, Goodbye To You and Everywhere came from "The Spirit Room" album and Breathe and Are You Happy Now? came from the album "Hotel Paper". So why are they being realeased again on an EP?

Album is Inspiration

Her fourth major album should amaze me because the song selections are just consistent to her true inner being.

Is she gonna release her new album yet?

I was thinking the same exact thing as storm139; why is she re-releasing her older songs (except Loud Music) when we could simply just buy them from the Spirit Room and Hotel Paper albums? Is this a mini Greatest Hits compilation, perhaps? I also had to listen to the previews to see if maybe they were re-recorded versions. If this is called "The Loud Music Hits" then I would expect some new songs; but of course she hasn't come out with any other new singles yet. She's been on the edge of releasing a new album since like 2008; and it keeps getting pushed to a later date, then another year goes by without one. Last year, she only released an EP when I thought it was going to be a country album. Now, I guess she gave up on country and went back to her pop/rock roots. West Coast Time is now being pushed to 2012. I just don't know if I can trust that; but I'll still be anticipating for it. HURRY AND RELEASE A NEW ALBUM, MICHELLE!

Although she rose to fame during the teen pop era, Michelle Branch -- who was 17 years old when her debut album, The Spirit Room, began its double-platinum run in 2001 -- modeled her own songs after iconic alt-rock females like Lisa Loeb and Melissa Etheridge. Raised in Arizona, Branch sang throughout her childhood but didn’t pick up the guitar until her 14th birthday, when she received the instrument as a gift. Within a week, she’d written her first song. Branch’s parents eventually decided to home...
