Seen them live!

Mediocre at best. A low budget les Nubians. Beats are simple as well as their singing. Really didn’t even want to waste my time writing this comment, but I did it to warn you. At the concert, their wailing they call singing gave me a migraine.

I love it!

It’s amazing how they fuse Yoruba culture into their music. I may not understand the language but I find it beautiful. For some reason, as an African-American woman who doesn’t know much about my roots or African culture, I connect deeply to this album. Good job ibeyi! (I’m also a twin which is cool) 😭😂❤️

Beautiful

The music just flows over you like warm summer breezes scented by flowers blooming in fields nearby. You feel the darkness of the rich soil in the notes rising so purely to the heavens calling to the Orisha, celebrating our humanity.
