Utada truly has a genre all her own...

Utada is certainatly not afraid to experiment, and this album proves it. Quick addictions to songs such as "Easy Breezy" and "Devil Inside" will lure you deeper to the true gems of this album, including "Hotel Lobby", "Wonder 'Bout", "Kremlin Dusk", and "Animato". Fans of her Japanese music may find her U.S. debut different, but as mentioned earlier, Utada is not afraid to explore new frontiers. Whether or not you like this album, do not rule out Utada as a talented artist, she is full of delightful surprises. Excellent, this is my favorite music on iTunes thus far. (Note: Review is written by a 12 year old, keep that in mind, my tastes may differ from yours emmensely.)

Utada Rocks

i, personally love this album! i first found this when my cousin started playing this on her xanga, i got the cd and it was AWESOME!!!! i love all the tracks but my personall favorites are "Devil Inside", "Animato", "Kremlin Dusk", and "Exodus '04". i have learned that she has many other albums that are only released in Japan, so i went over to the Japan Music Store and listened to some of those songs, they too were great! i know i sound like a 30 year old freako but im really only 13, that shows that Utada is not just for elder people but for kids like me too! me being Asian i dont know very many popular Asain artists in America, but when i found Utada i went crazy! BUY UTADA! ITS GREAT!!!! i probly listen to her about every day and i dont know how i'd live without her!

A fresh variety of music that exceeds any specific genre, Utada has set a precedent for American music in the coming decades. This CD will take you on a ride from the cultural drums of the japanese culture in Devil Inside, the swift loops of Exodus '04, produced by Timbaland, the eccentric dance groove of The Workout, the all-around fun poppy Easy Breezy, the jumpy sounds of Tippy Toe, and the tropical melodies of Hotel Lobby. The CD takes a bit more serious turn after this with Animato, and Kremlin Dusk, showcasing her rock talent with drummer Jon Theodore from The Mars Volta, and throughout the rest of the CD you cannot help but listen to it all and wonder how Utada maintains such versatility. She is a true diamond in the rough and this album is no exception either.
