Levellers' Zeigeist

Zeigeist is one of the Levellers' most consistently rollicking and rocking discs. It's great, and deserves any praise headed it's way. I was always a big fan of the song, Forgotten of my favorite Levellers songs of all time. But don't stop there: Hope Street, The Fear, Exodus, and Men-An-Tol are all keepers. But don't stop there: Saturday To Sunday is good, and even though they are a little short time-wise, Just The One and Haven't Made It are really good too. Sensing a theme here? It's all quite good, and one of their better albums - buy it all.
But you may not want to stop there, either, as the UK import version of this disc includes 4 extra tracks - including two of the better drinking songs I've heard - and isn't all that pricey if you look around.

The Levellers formed in 1988, bringing together five Brighton, England, musicians -- Mark Chadwick (vocals, guitar, banjo), Alan Miles (vocals, guitar, mandolin, harmonica), Jeremy Cunningham (bass, bouzouki), Charlie Heather (drums), and Jon Sevink (fiddle).
