Fade to Grey

Visage is one of the unsung heroes of the 80's NEW WAVE era. Much of our current music in Techno is derived from influences by Visage. The original band members themselves are iconic by their own right such as Steve Strange who later formed another band called Strange Crew, Midge Ure who later formed Ultravox. They epidomized what was avantgarde and remain still.

When I bought this album I went on limb because I had heard the song "Fade To Grey" and was entranced by it's sound. I decided I wanted to find out more about this unique and distinct sound. I found that they have some great dance/pop grooves with a mix of dreamy lyrics. I love this album and so worth my time to find out more

Groundbreaking synth-pop

Well, I got into Visage way back in the mid 80's when they were putting out their last album release (Love Glove) before Steve Strange decided to form a new project and they broke up the band. Most everyone involved in this project is infamous in their own right, with such roots as Ultravox. This album here is a compilation of many of their better songs from their first few albums, and is a pretty decent and accessible compilation for the Visage newcomer. The song Fade to Grey is perhaps their most popular, and if you really like the music here, try finding a copy of their album The Anvil. It has been out of print for many years, but might make a comeback here at iTunes, or perhaps your local used music store. Another fantastic Visage album.
