Customer Reviews

2 or 3 amazing songs

"Pat's Dementia" and "Fall of '85" rock quite handily, and are two of the more cohesive uptempo rock songs on this album. The album is a bit inconsistent. The guitar sounds on this record are really well recorded though, and the cuts have a loose and relaxed (yet energized) feel of a live gig in front of an audience. Get down with those two songs, get in on the joke, and then get with the rest. "Fall of 85" is one of their bittersweet love songs in the vein of Lemony Snickett. It's about a young couple who started hanging out as kids but then grew up and discovered sex and sniffing glue. They seem to do one really well arranged song dedicated to bus ride hookups or weird couples on most of their albums. (Also get your hands on "Stuck on a Bus" from the "In Dark Love" album and "Maximum Detail" off of "Plastic Soul with the White Apes")
