Good performance and music

The Nashville Symphony does a fine job performing the music of Gould on this album. Perhaps the audio engineering of the recording could be better, as sometimes it sounds a bit too dry - as though one was standing in front of the orchestra during rehearsal. The music itself is well done, for those unfamiliar with Gould, his sound world is squarely within the American (/Paris) "school" if you will, reminding me of Diamond, Sessions, Copland etc, though all the while remaining himself; this is because his music is well crafted and thought out.
