Fanatic Live from Caesars Colosseum

Fanatic Live from Caesars Colosseum

Having survived several decades intact and showing signs of a creative renaissance, Ann and Nancy Wilson have reached a veteran status that lets them stick to their roots in Led Zeppelin–inspired ‘70s hard rock. Not that they're ignoring their ‘80s hits altogether. “Alone” and “What About Love” survive on this live set, while “All I Want to Do Is Make Love to You” is sacrificed in the name of “Fanatic,” “Mashallah!,” “Dear Old America,” and “59 Crunch” from their 2012 release Fanatic. “Dog and Butterfly,” “Crazy on You," and “Barracuda” represent Heart's classic hits. That the 14-track set was recorded for TV at Caesars Colosseum in Windsor, Ontario, ensured that all musicians involved were pushing it to the limit and true to form. Ann Wilson hits the notes that have made her a respected and envied lead singer, one who's the very equal to her male counterparts and then some.
