not sure what happened to the old reviews

but that's beside the fact. this is my favorite FM album. it contains some of their best songs like salty dog, black friday rule, and devil's dance floor. for those more devoted FM fans, look to the lesser known songs like the worst day since yesterday, selfish man, sentimental johnny, and far away boys. i highly recommend this.

Great album worth buying.

My brother turned me on to Flogging Molly several years ago when he downloaded Salty Dog for International Talk Like a Pirate Day, and ever since then I have greatly enjoyed their music. Every album that they do is gold in its own right, and Swagger is no exception. Salty Dog and Devils Dance Floor are fantastic fast paced romps, and The Worst Day Since Yesterday is a wonderfully depressed and depressing tune you really can't help singing along to. This album also contains my favorite FM song; Black Friday Rule. The whole song is a hoot, from the great interlocked couplet intro to the grungy shredding bridge to the closing fiddle. In my opinion, the album is worth buying for these 3 songs alone.

VERY early Flogging Molly

Contrary to their newer material, this album blends classic FM punk riffs with the perfect twist of Celtic instruments. While some songs have reach some weak spots, fans of the band most certainly should check this one out.

The Los Angeles-based post-grunge seven-piece Flogging Molly are an interesting mix of traditional Irish music and spunky punk rock.
