iTunes Review

While Miranda Lambert's fourth album still bears the same raw, rebellious spirit that made her famous, she expands in multiple directions at once, both lyrically and musically. Naturally, Miranda remains the queen of kiss-offs both sassy ("Baggage Claim") and bittersweet ("Same Old You"). But from the processed vocals and odd sound effects on "Fine Tune" to the postmodern rockabilly feel of the subtly feminist smash "Mama's Broken Heart," Four the Record sounds unlike any other mainstream country album of its era.

its like home

every time i listen to miranda's music its like home. its like talking to your best friends. its like crying when you need it , laughing when you should , and loving so raw and real. its like telling life how you really feel , its like breathing in the night sky with your man and a beer in your hand. . i downloaded this as soon as i could and now im listening to it as much as i can . i love love love the slow and sweet love songs. I love the sound of fine tune.

miranda always pushes country music to its best but keeps it classic and soulful at the same time. you know its a great albumn when it gives you goosebumps. love love love.

Baggage Claim Being Explicit

Have we gotten so PC (If that's the right word) on things where one swear word (Which is used all the time in PG-13 Movies now) makes the entire song Explicit? I am of course talking about Baggage Claim, which is a pretty good song but at the end she swears and it makes the entire song (And album) explicit? Isn't that going a little overboard? There is nothing explicit about that song and I wish people weren't so sensitive when it comes to language, when it's spoken every single day all around us.

I'm currently listening to the Album and it's pretty good so far. I'm not sure if some of these songs could be considered "Country" though (Like Fine Tune and Fastest Girl in Town) but the songs I've heard sound really nice. Still haven't heard the "House has Built me" version on this album and probably still think Revolution is a better album, but this one is a solid 4 stars so far. I just didn't want to downgrade the album because of the explicit complaint.

Another great album from our good'ol Texas native Miranda...
Every track is just a masterpiece, and it was well worth the wait!!
Best song I've heard, has be to Over You! a track that she wrote with husband Blake, about his brother that was involved in a car accident and died...very touching.

Genre: Country

Miranda Lambert defied all conventional notions of how a credible country career should proceed. Following an adolescence where she alternated between singing and acting, she came to prominence not as the winner but as a runner-up on the 2003 American Idol knockoff Nashville Star, a dubious stepping stone to stardom if ever there was one, but Lambert's 2005 Kerosene obliterated any notion that she was a reality TV refugee. Filled with lithe, powerful, neo-traditional country songs, many penned by...
