Customer Reviews

A truly beautiful work

There are so many classical works that are too intense to enjoy on your own terms; you have to be fully dominated in them or estranged completely. Eguchi, Smith, and Shaham weave such an enticing, multi-layerd work that the listener is drawn sweetly and innocently into their R'epertoire, by-passing the usual hang-ups that leave most listeners out in the cold for fear of overcommiting. Leaving room for future discovery with further-listening, the trio is careful to not over power the selections with uneeded overemphasis. Things are just how they should be; no more, no less. If you're just beginning to tip-toe through classical music, this is a brilliant work to fall in love with and a worth-while addition to any collection.

"Two thumbs up!"

Words are not enough to describe this album...

My favorite violin soloist got together with my favorite cello soloist. The playing is incomparable and there are some real gems on this album. The music itself is warm and inviting. The tunes open themselves to you in a soft embrace. This is comfort food, come indulge.
