Editors’ Notes

Blink-182's self-titled fourth album is all about change. Having achieved unprecedented success for a potty-mouthed pop-punk band, the trio aimed to switch up their sound here, adding elements of experimental rock and hip-hop. While "The Fallen Interlude" is a funky instrumental and "All of This" features a cameo from The Cure's Robert Smith, the band's impeccable sense of melody remains intact. "Feeling This" is as catchy as anything they've recorded, "I Miss You" contains the signature Blink mix of hooks and heart-on-sleeve lyrics, and "Down" is a midtempo rocker with an uncharacteristic yet inescapable chorus. The band went on hiatus after touring in support of this album, making it the capstone on a phenomenal run.

Together at last

Blink-182 is finally back together, and i believe that this calls for a celebration!! 3 CHEERS FOR BLINK!!!!!

Their greatest album? Eh, why not?

Emena and Take Off Your Pants and Jacket are awesome, don't get me wrong, but this is by far their best, musically and lyrically. From the opening 8 bars of Feeling This to the abrupt cut off ending of I'm Lost Without You (which is kind of ironic if you think about how similar it is to how they broke up), this is one of the few albums that I can play start to finish without skiping anything. The standouts, in my opinion, are I Miss You, Down, All Of This, and Here's Your Letter. A must for any alternative rock fan.

You guys need to shut up about this album being "too serious". This album was awesome, and you losers are too hung up on the past.

The new-school punk trio blink-182 were formed in the suburbs of San Diego, California around guitarist/vocalist Tom DeLonge, bassist/vocalist Mark Hoppus, and drummer Scott Raynor. Originally known as simply Blink, the band debuted in 1993 with a self-released EP, Fly Swatter. After releasing the album Buddha in 1994, the trio signed to Grilled Cheese/Cargo and released Cheshire Cat the following year. The threat of a lawsuit from a similarly named Irish band forced them to change their name to...
