13 Songs, 41 Minutes

EDITORS’ NOTES

The first album from Stockholm-born singer/songwriter Snoh Aalegra fuses the dreamy aesthetics of ‘10s R&B with the warm, yet longing vibes of ‘70s soul. Aalegra’s raspy soprano (previously heard on Drake’s More Life closer “Do Not Disturb”) floats over the brushed drums and honeyed backing vocals of “You Keep Me Waiting,” and she offers up a powerhouse performance on the hazy, string-laden title track. “Sometimes,” meanwhile, is loose and skeletal, Aalegra channeling Erykah and Ella over a smoothly sturdy bassline.

Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics.

Is the scratching on this album real or a sound effect?

Incredible

How this woman is not a household name by now is criminal. Everything she puts out is stunning.

2nd coming of Amy Winehouse!

I love Snoh...her voice is heavenly with just a hint of rasp, her production/sessions are filled with great instrumentation, lyrics are heartfelt and meaningful...the trifecta!

Keep doing what you’re doing Snoh, you are AMAZING!
