Dexter Home Cooking

-This was about the first album recorded after Dexter returned to the U.S. after about 10-15 years. it is written that Dexter was unsure of the reception he would receive after so long, but the crowd that night was indeed ready for him, welcoming him with standing ovations and lots of applause. This recording can be seen as a kind of rebirth of acoustic jazz. Please give a listen-This is Dexter at perhaps his best.

Dexter Gordon had such a colorful and eventful life (with three separate comebacks) that his story would make a great Hollywood movie.
