Can be used to torture people

Most of these covers are bad enough but listening to Patrick & Eugene is like having insects crawl all over your skin. Can't fathom why this made this week's masthead out of batch of releases that included something new from the avant garde greats Einsturzende Neubaten, a Jon Anderson (of Yes) classic and an amazing Victoria Williams live album. I'd have been less surprised to see "A Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza" up there. The CIA should add this one to their collection......

Weird Al?...No, if it were, it'd sound decent...

The samples make it sound like Weird Al Yankovic had a hand in these covers (at least in concept, not execution). Or those pathetic "Kidz Bop" recording of songs that children have no business singing. Coco Electrik's version of "Tainted Love" is just blaspemy, as is Bilkis' "Over the Rainbow" which sounds like a flathead screwdriver (yes, I know that doesn't really make sense, but sample it and you'll know exactly what I mean). With the exception of "Young Folks" and "59th St Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy)," and the clever title (they totally stole my idea), this thing is just plain worthless.

a slow, painful death....

...I can't believe the original artists gave permission for their songs to be covered this way. Some are ok, but the majority are horrible....this album should be discontinued and people should get their money back..ha ha...
