So many great classic traxx for a killer price.

BUYER BEWARE - NOT the studio tracks/artists you remember

I don't blame the less than famous artists who did the covers. I don't blame the lack of production quality from an era that was known more for the production quality than the music quality. I blame 2 people for this awful-sounding album: 1) The producer(s) who went through other studios' dust bins looking for anything he/she could throw onto iTunes without paying a hefty royalty and 2) ME for being so stupid I looked at the song list and said "I remember that one! Oh, I remember that one, too! Wow, I can't wait to hear all these songs!" And WOW WAS I DISAPPOINTED. The songs are NOT from the album version, the lost version, the missing tracks, the basement tapes. This stuff is just straight out of the junk pile. The guitar effects are off. The singing is off. Many of the artists are doing covers (if that's what you're seeking, hooray for you). When I want to hear "Home Sweet Home" I am expecting Motley Crue, not Leif Garret, for God's sake. And at that he "made it his own" which is just freaking awful. I have heard closer representations of the NAMES of these songs, by 80s cover bands at local bars. Yes, it's that disappointing. If you don't recall what the songs are supposed to sound like, OR you werent' alive in the 80s to hear them in their glory, and therefore don't feel all sick inside when you hear these warmed-over remakes, you may think you're getting a bargain. This is one case where I would definitely rather have cried at the cash register and paid more money to get the STUDIO/LP/Single versions of the songs.

STILL...........The band HELIX can not get some recognition or respect.....or their due.......Even the Bullet Boys had some success! The horrible band L.A. Guns made it kinda big for awhile....And even now, Helix can not even get a track on this lame Hair Metal collection record......However, Ronnie James Dio covering DREAM ON by Aerosmith is certainly a gem!
