At Long Last

Chris Rae’s excellent debut makes its way to iTunes in what seems like an eternity. Do t listen to the other reviewers here because they’re wrong & don’t know what they’re talking about.

This IS the original version of “Fool, if you think it’s over”. What went over their heads is that the original version of “Fool” that is on “Benny” was faster paced in a more upbeat tempo than all the other albums it appears on, even on “ New Light Through Old Windows”

If anything, THAT is the re-record, NOT this! So again, I don’t understand the complaints, but rest assured this is the original & true version of “Fool” that this album contains. Some of you need to know your music. Peace.

1978 Original Album Version

Contrary what music "fools" have said below. This IS the original album version. Highly reommended. Although I prefer the radio edit, this will not dissappoint.

Younger crowd might not know

As noted by others above, this is the original album that “Fool....” was on. Newer listeners may only know the version on “New Light Through Old Windows” (the white cover version). I read somewhere that Chris did not really like the “overproduced” sound of the original that much, so when they released the updated version of “New Light....”, he re-recorded it. If you can find a CD copy of “New Light....” with the blue cover, get it! No “Fool...” on that release but has many of his other great songs like “Working on It”, “On the Beach”, and “I Can Hear Your Heartbeat”.
