My favorite album

This is simply the best. Every song is well written and played with talent. If you like good music, listen to deaf Havana

Love them waaaaaay more without the screaming and I can't wait to get the deluxe version they just remade of this album

So Great

Wow, I really love Deaf Havana more without any screaming. I think this album is one of the most emotional, wonderful pieces of music I've listened to recently. The only thing I'd say takes away from the album's greatness is the repetitiveness of some songs, like Youth in Retrospect, but looking at the bigger picture, that doesn't even matter.
I would recommend in particular...

The Past Six Years - This song has a wistful, haunting, lovely feel to it. Fantastic.

I Will Try - An upbeat, pop/rock-ier song with a great chorus.

Little White Lies - Just an overall amazing song, with the female vocals adding a bit of interesting variety. I was playing this at the weight room at my school and a random guy asked who the band was because he really liked it. You know it's amazing when that happens.

Hunstanton Pier - An anthemic, looking-back type of song, I really love this one.

Filthy Rotten Scoundrel - A catchy, fast-paced rock song. Good, gritty vocals.

Nelson's County - I really enjoy this song, I guess it's the melody or something, not really sure what! But it's great.

Fifty Four - A softer song. Perfect lyrics for my life: "I'll keep holding on cause we are young and we are free...And my God, that's still good enough for me."

Amazing Album!

This album is awesome start to finish! It has the perfect balance of sound, without getting too subdued or going over the top. Deaf Havana is now one of my top 3 favorite bands!

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Combining post-hardcore with anthemic pop-punk, Norfolk four-piece Deaf Havana sit alongside the likes of We Are the Ocean, the Blackout, and Young Guns on the list of bands flying the flag for the heavier side of British alt-rock. Formed in 2005 while lead vocalist Ryan Mellor, guitarists James Veck-Gilodi and Sebastian Spitz (later replaced by Chris Pennells), bassist Lee Wilson, and drummer Tom Ogden were at college in Kings Lynn, Deaf Havana signed to A Wolf at Your Door Records in 2008, and...
