EDITORS’ NOTES

For their sophomore release, the Kentucky-based Hearts of Saints present a double-disc package that pairs a batch of propulsive pop-rock tunes with a set of uplifting worship songs. The melodic strengths and feel for dynamics on the Christian band's debut album are still present on For All of Us, bolstered by a deeper lyrical vision. Hearts of Saints keep their music lean, clean, and direct, with Jesse Grisham’s guitar heroics spurring on Craig Felker’s assertive yet vulnerable vocals. The first set's standout tracks include “You’re Alive” (matching a rousing sound with a redemptive lyric), “Wait” (a rock ballad with a life-affirming message), and “Attraction, Distraction” (taking on social superficialities while reaffirming the need for spiritual truth). The praise numbers reveal a new maturity in the band’s music. Tracks like “Merciful God” and “Your Great Love” move beyond rock rallying cries to achieve Scripture-rooted grace. “Empires” and “Our Generation” channel the band’s energy into a powerful corporate worship setting. Whether they’re stirring up the faithful or leading the way into prayerful contemplation, Hearts of Saints prove their mettle in this well-realized collection.

Solid sound, great message.

Lamppost72,

These guys are amazing. Great vocals on top of a very solid sound of rock and pop fusion. The worship tracks reach to the heart of the gospel with the song "All of Us." It will echo in your head for days!!!

Great job!!

Faith Like Seen,

One thing that I love about these songs is that their messages can be found straight out of the bible! Lots of scriptural based lyrics and some good beats. My personal favorites on the album are, "For All of Us," "BattleCry," and "You're Alive." Excellent job guys!!! Keep up the amazing work!
