The Bond of Father and Sons The McEuen Sessions

The bond of music brings John McEuen (best known as a founding member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band) and his two extraordinarily talented sons, Jonathan and Nathan together on a recording for the very first time. The album is a must have, showing the the musical circle remains unbroken from generation to generation. Something very magical happened when this family got together to record this collection of songs and it is not to be missed. While paying homage to the roots of bluegrass, the album is so much more than that, moving from bluegrass, to county, to classic 70's rock and then totally current musical compositions by the McEuen's. I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of this album and I have been playing it daily ever since.

This CD grows on you

First time through, I liked two or three tracks. Third time through, I liked four or five tracks. Having it in my player for a month or so now, it's gonna be awhile until I listen to something else. It seems like all of your favorite CD's are this way. They just never get old. You will not regret buying this CD, it's one of those special ones...

McEuen Sessions

This album is truly a gem that will keep shimmering every time you play it. The McEuen boys have undoubtedly been blessed with the gift of their father - the talent to make music with heart and deep, deep soul. I have listened to this album daily since I bought it and I still get goosebumps when tasty pieces like Hills of Sylmar start to play. I've never taken the time to review an album (or anything, for that matter) online, but this is a masterpiece that just grows better each time it plays. Bravo, McEuen boys!
