Love it

This album is so fantastic.

Really Good!

This CD is some kind of good! Several reasons. First, the "vibe" of the music is a retro folk-rock 70's vibe -- much in the vein of Fleetwood Mack. That was a fantastic decade of music, and this recording would fit right in. Second, while Josh's voice is really great, Nicole's voice is remarkable. She sounds a lot like Linda Ronstadt used to -- and that, friends, is a really, really, really big complement to pay ANY female singer! Third, the harmonies and lyrics work synergestically so that the sum if greater than the parts -- and the parts are pretty great! Fourth, the production showcases rather than obscures the vocals. Best songs (unranked, all really good): "Turnstile," "Place From Where I Fell," "Losing The Lonely," "Desert Days" (my fav), and "For The Taking" -- a song outstanding in its simplicity and simply outstanding. Get the download; you will enjoy it muchly.

Moving up.

It’s more mature, catchier, honest, romantic, extremely well-produced, and Josh and Nicole sound better than they ever have before. It seems to me that record deals usually produce less honest and relevant music, but the time and effort Elenowen put into this record was definitely well spent, and, lastly, changes them from a cute married couple that writes good music to a growing powerhouse in the music industry.

The husband-and-wife writing and singing team of Josh and Nicole Johnson make up the Nashville-based country-folk-rock duo Elenowen (named after Josh's mother and Nicole's father and pronounced "ellen-owen"). The couple met and fell in love in high school, marrying during Josh's freshman year at Nashville's Belmont University. Both pursued separate singing and music careers until 2009, when they joined forces after hearing Robert Plant and Alison Krauss' Raising Sand album. Realizing a vision that...
