EDITORS’ NOTES

Sweat-raising beats, chill ballads, and life-affirming lyrics make V. Rose’s sophomore album an engaging dance-pop release. Forever After follows in the footsteps of Krystal Meyers, 1 Girl Nation, The Rubyz, and similar Christian teen-oriented acts while offering its own high-gloss blend of EDM, R&B, and hip-hop. V. Rose applies her impressive range and supple phrasing to catchy yet thoughtful songs touching on social conformity (“Am I Trending?”), spiritual independence (“Forget About the World”), and everyday heartaches (“Tortured Mind”). Guest spots by Flame, Shonlock, Da T.R.U.T.H., and KJ-52 add to the album’s celebratory spirit.
