Great for Scars fans, and ok for infest fans

I've been a big papa roach fan since infest. I own four of their cds (Infest, Lovehatetragedy, GAWM, and this one) They have changed a lot. My favorite would have to be infest but Paramour Sessions is good to. I like this new one more than getting away with murder. It seems like (this may offend some people but its what i see, and this doesn't pertain to everyone) people just randomly started liking p-roach just because of scars and you people will like probably 99% of this cd. Those of you who have been fans since infest (good job) will like about 65% of this cd. A lot of the songs are like scars. Im not a huge "ballad" fan. here is a list the songs with scores out of 10 1. ...To Be Loved=9/10 really good song, one of my favorites, very fast and catchy 2.Alive=9/10 also very fast I like how the vocals go from fast to slow every once and while 3.Crash=8/10 once again fast, if you like the song GAWM than you probably would like this one 4.The World Around You=6.5/10 didn't like this one as much because it reminds me of scars(kinda) 5.Forever=3/10 same thing as number 4 but worse 6.I Devise My Own Demise=10/10 Love the drums at the beginning. For some reason the vocals in this one remind me of MCR(in a way) 7.Time is Running Out=7/10 reminds me of scars but i love the vocals at the beginning, they make me laugh! 8.What Do You Do?=2/10 never really listened to this song cuz it gives me a headache 9.My Heart Is a Fist=10/10 Love the dark and low sounding chords at the beginning 10.Now More Secrets=10/10 nice and fast just the way i like it 11.Reckless=7/10 its an ok song, not great, just ok 12.The Fire=4/10 don't like listening to this song either cuz i get bored with it really fast 13.Roses on my grave=3/10 same thing as The Fire 14.The Addict=15/10 Love this song! Good for listening in the car. Its fast so you can just sit there and jam to it cuz it doesnt get boring no matter how many times i listen to it. Well, thats my opinion and i hope it was useful, if not you can get over it and post your own opinion that not everybody will agree with just like how not everybody will agree with mine.

Papa Roach not selling out

I too have been a huge Papa Roach fan since Infest, I have followed them through tough times and now re-emerging times. What I think every fan of music must know is that an album is based on experiences and situations. Papa Roach lets you know theirs on every album. The difference between good and sellout for some, is always different. This album is true a indication of how a band grows up and life gets better and happier but their is struggle everyday, just in different ways than when they were fresh out of highschool. On this note, I will be listening to this cd and others until October 28th when P-Roach comes to Chicago, can't wait, you don't know sound until you hear it live, but for now i will rate it a 4.

Good balanced cd...

Overall, a good 4th cd release. There are a few quick moving hard beat songs with the Papa Roach trademark style. It is probably their second best, the first release being best. This cd definitely shows thier maturity and groth as a band. Papa Roach's best songs seem to be ones of relationship problems.
