This is a true classic - Hard Rock at it's best

Growing up in the Bay Area (where Y&T are from) in 1982 there wasn't one party where you didn't hear this album. It was played on KOME and KSJO all time. I know I am aging myself by saying this, but this is great rock n roll in that the melody is still there. There was an effort to have a hook to sing along to as well on every song. However, the music is never compromised, and it is hard rock through and through. No politics, no getting in touch with your emotions, and no whining about the state of the planet. Great music.

Metal 'Luma

This album was in every car stereo in No. Cal. right along with Highway to Hell and Van Halen . The best group of the '80s that didn't get the natioanl airplay they deserved.

Straight-ahead rock and roll with a metal twist

Y&T was a tight unit that could spank almost every other band off the stage. This is no-frills rock and roll, delivered hot and steaming to your front porch with all the power and energy of a nuclear peperoni pizza. Dave Meniketti is the perfect front man; he sings with such authority, it's baffling that he even plays guitar at all--because he doesn't need to. Add to that the fact that he plays guitar so well, he doesn't need to sing. He's THAT good. Get the picture? Get this album.

A legendary live band that arguably never managed to translate its electric on-stage intensity into its studio albums, Y&T stood within reach of the Grail of rock & roll stardom many times in their long career -- but through a series of mistakes, bad timing, and sheer bad luck, the ultimate prize always seemed to elude them in the end. Taking their name from a Beatles song, the group was originally formed as Yesterday & Today in San Francisco, around 1973, by vocalist and lead guitarist Dave Meniketti,...
