groundbreaking atmospheric rock

i've heard alot of feedback on this album, saying that it's not up to par as their last album "pneuma" (a genre-making, genre-breaking tribute to how music should sound). untrue. all untrue. this album is less "song-based", in the sense that the tracks aren't a short and poignant as the mastery of pneuma, but this album stands alone on it's own regard. it's a voyage through sonic landscapes that takes you from points of extreme aetherial ecstacy to the depths of existensialist substancialiasm. this is an album that captures all of the spectrum of emotion. "foreword" is an album to reckoned with. buy it. now. you won't be disappointed.

It's looking like a bright future is ahead...

I was curious as to how this ep would sound with the addition of new members. I had watched live shows of MM on youtube and heard some of the new songs on here and was impressed. This ep is wonderful and I am just glad they are continuing to express themselves without limits. The title track of the ep is amazing but really there are no favorites as this is just a wonderful peice of art as a whole (very epic in spots but very gentle in others). The lyrics are a vague but a good vague so that all can relate. Love the ambience and melodic instrumental sections. Thanks MM and keep up the inspiration!

A Symphony of Heavenly Sounds

If heaven does really exist, this is what it must sound like. pure brilliance. go purchase Pnuema as well, you will not regret it.

The band was originally formed as a duo consisting of singer and guitarist Gregory Dunn and drummer Nicholas Pizzolato. Dunn, who was in high school at the time, was looking for a way to write songs that captured moments of his life in music, and with the help of Pizzolato,...
