Album Review

Simply the Best is a collaboration between Austrian schlager singer DJ Ötzi and American country group the Bellamy Brothers. Predictably, the album's ten tracks feature a schlager/country-pop sound, with Ötzi and the Brothers covering their greatest hits, including "Let Your Love Flow" (which was a number one hit for the Bellamy Brothers in 1976), "Like a Star" (the English version of DJ Ötzi's 2007 hit "Ein Stern [Der Deinen Namen Trägt]"), and "Hey Baby" (an Ötzi song from 2000 that reached the number one spot in the U.K. singles charts). Simply the Best, which is DJ Ötzi's first full-fledged English-language album, entered the German album charts at number three and is also available as a deluxe edition with a bonus DVD.
