yet another exceptional release from Nashville songwriting & track-building extraordinaire Adam Agin

I wanted to wait and let these songs settle into my playlist for a few days before I penned my final recommendation. Of all of the singer-songwriters I have by some great fortune stumbled onto this year, no one excites me more than Adam Agin. Like some of you, I was introduced to Adam via his side-project, Neulore, and I have been seeking out every recording and release by this guy I can possibly acquire ever since. For those of us who seek emotive performances and solid songwriting with deep, profound, and image-invoking lyrics on the backdrop of a celestial tapestry of sound, Adam Agin could not fit our search more perfectly. This collection of songs entitled Rainy Days + Sleepless Nights is no exception; more than ever, Adam’s newest release comprised of two singles having already released to digital outlets and six brand new songs possesses ethereal qualities that seem to transcend the typical listening experience. You really feel like you do not pay enough for what you get. I am still listening through these over and over, and since I know my favorites come in an ever-changing cycle, I can only say that currently my top track on this album of the six new songs is Bookends, the song from which the title of the album is derived. If you are familiar with Ryan O’Neal and Sleeping At Last, this song along with the soft piano-ballad closer, Turning Blue, will seem as if they could have just as well trickled out of one of O’Neal’s dreams and like angel dust fallen into place on this gem of an album. The other tracks are just as varied, beautiful, and memorable; you could just imagine a storybook unfolding as each track plays out making this entire collection a probable future inclusion on various television shows (and perhaps film placements as well). Buy this album and give Adam Agin and Neulore a chance in your playlist; when you listen through it, you’ll be unable to keep it to yourself. Tell a friend, and let’s get the good stuff in the ears of the people.

Makes you want more rainy days!
