Amazing and refreshing.

This album is superb. Weiss does what many strive to accomplish in the rock/punk genre with ease; he's math rockishly playful and graceful with the time signatures changes, expertly employs ostinato heavy lead guitars, and has both clever song structure and lyrics. The amount of precision and care is evident as I thoroughly enjoy every minute of the album. The last album that made me rave like this was Dashboard Confessional's - Swiss Army Romance and PROPER is far superior. I strongly encourage that you pay some currency to enjoy this album. Weiss, thank you for writing something worth listening to.

it is so rare that i buy an album and don't have to skip one song. flawless.

A great accomplishment

I have to admit I wrote them off when I heard their earlier stuff. This album shattered my perception of this band's identity. I can't honestly find a song that you might want to skip. Amazingly catchy and raw, it might be the best pop-punk offering I have heard in years. Some songs remind me of early Saves The Day mixed with Death Cab For Cutie. This album floors me as a musician. Everything is masterfully done. If you enjoy The Dangerous Summer, Look Mexico, Man Overboard and Transit, I really cannot see how you could not fall entirely in love with this album. It's so solid all around. The drums, the guitars, the vocal harmonies, the lyrics, everything is so well done that it crushes me. This is a must buy. Good on them. I hope the best for them because this is great music.

The project came together in 2007 when Weiss made the decision to record a new song every week for an entire year, a stunt that culminated in the release of the double album 52 Weeks in 2009.
