Streets of London and other songs

I did not hear Ralph sing these songs as I heard others sing them in Folk Clubs in the sixities. I did hear his name spoken in reverence as they introduced the songs. I'm glad it is available on iTunes.

Streets of London

I have been playing the guitar for over 30 years and was taught the Streets of London by a close friend in 1986. I have never heard the song from the original artist before until now. It is one of those songs that you play and sing from the heart and from your soul and I have been singing it correctly through all of these years without even knowing it.

I played this song for my wife when we were dating and I had here from that moment on. A few months later, I played it for her mother in person and to this day it still makes her cry. Very touching and very real story even in today's world.

Ralph McTell is an amazing artist and ranks up there with Harry Chapin, Don Mclean, Jimmy Buffett and many of the other great Singer-Songwriters!

wonderful

I first heard Fred Holstein sing this at Steve Goodman's bar in Chicago. It still breaks me up.
